Here’s what you’ll need for a unforgettable and fun martini party.

1.  Chocolate Martini Glass by Lolita and Chocolate Zebra Martini Glass by Lolita.  Purchase one for each of your guests or purchase a few to decorate with.

2.  Make this creamy Chocolate martini recipe:

Chocotini

Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce dark crème de cacao
1/2 ounce chocolate liqueur (Godiva is recommended)
1 teaspoon chocolate syrup

Instructions:
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. If you like, you can serve it with a little chocolate (from a chocolate bar) grated on top or a swirl of chocolate syrup (from a very small nozzle) but it’s not necessary.

3.  Chocolate Fondue Fountain. Set up a tiered chocolate fountain and set out strawberries for dipping.

4.  Hershey Chocolate Kisses for decor and to give away as favors. Decoratively add them to tabletops and any other areas you want to add a little spark to. You can also fill little sheer fabric bags with Kisses to give to each guest as they enter.

5.  Send themed invites to your Guest List. Find or design invites with chocolates on them or you find or design dark chocolate brown colored-invites. Click here to see an example.

6. Chocolate-scented candles Light and decoratively place around the house for a delicious aroma. You may also use them as party favors and prizes for games.

7. Chocolate Games – give the winners a chocolate scented candle to take home. Here’s a few game ideas.

  • How many words can you make out of the word: CHOCOLATE in 60 seconds.
  • How many chocolate candy bars can you name in 60 seconds.
  • Chocolate-Opoly

8.   Chocolate Attire Have your guests wear Chocolate & Creme: chocolate brown or creme (off-white)

9.   Serve foods of your choice. You may choose to keep it light and serve finger foods or you may prepare an elegant dinner. If you choose to serve dinner, see the last tip for placecards.

10. Hershey Chocolate bar placecards For table settings. Use these to assign seats around the table. Be sure to thoughtfully prepare seating arrangements.

  • Instructions for placecards:
Use a white frosting and a small cake icing tip to write the name of each of your guests the back of a hershey bar. Place them on tissue paper doilies and encourage your guests to eat them after dinner.

Host a carefully planned and well-organized Chocolate theme martini party, using these tips and your guest talk about this event for years to come. Keep in mind that this is just a starter list, add to it or pick and choose which items you’d prefer.

And remember, order your Chocolate Martini Glasses early while supplies last before these glasses retire.

Make Your Friends Jealous

Posted in General by Tee Sunday March 14, 2010

I have a friend who has the most amazing bar in her basement. Every time she has a get together, there’s always something new on the shelf. I get so envious, she knows I go crazy over her Lolita martini barware, so whenever she wants to watch my eyes bulge, she’ll pull out the most unique martini glasses I’ve ever seen.

She usually uses them for both function and decor, but last weekend she added one more use to the menu. She’d invited me and a few other friends over for dinner.  Afterwords we met downstairs for drinks – nothing out of the ordinary.

As she began pulling out martini glasses to make us drinks, she said she had an announcement to make.  So we all quieted down and stepped up to the bar to take our glasses.

That’s when we all noticed the hand-painted design – a Lolita glass full of gold an rhinestones with the words “I do” written on the base.

My eardrum almost burst when another friend started screaming, “Oh my God, you’re getting married?!”

That’s when she stopped hiding her left hand under the counter and started waving the heaviest, flashiest ring I’d ever seen.

Yes, I was jealous, because I wanted one really badly. When is it gonna be my turn to get the latest from Lolita?

Now next time, if she breaks out the New Mommy Glass I’m gonna know what’s up.

Want a unique way to announce your engagement to your friends?

Has this ever happened to you?

I went to a party one night. I sat my martini on the table for just a moment so I could answer a text message.  I turned around for two seconds and when I turned back around there were two glasses on the table.  I didn’t know which one was mine because they were the exact same glass.

I could either take a chance, and catch a case of mono (or worse) or I could just let it go. I passed on the mono and went to get another drink. On my way to the bar, two women passed me with the most unique martini glasses in hand. One had pretty pink ribbons all over it and the other had shopping bags and shoes.  They were gorgeous.  I had to know where they came from.

The women told me they were Lolita martini glasses and they’d brought them from home because they hate losing drinks. I sighed, thinking about my lost drink. So I learned the hard way, but here’s how you keep track of your drink: Find some unique martini glasses. Lolita makes the most stunning glasses with the most unique designs. That way next time you sit your drink down you won’t have to worry, you’ll know it’s your because no one else at the party has a colorful glass like it.
