Tees Purple Martini Shop, LLC was started in 2008 by Tee after she and a few friends and family members had gathered to enjoy some martinis. They were sharing some innovative ideas when Tee thought it would be nice to collect some really unique martini glasses. When a friend mentioned how cool it would be if they designed some cool T-shirts – being the person that she is, Tee thought it would be even better if she sold both martini glasses and cute T-shirts that went perfect with jeans.

She decided to do some research. After working in the retail business for over 16 years, she was able use some of the skills she’d gained to start a business. She talked it over with her husband for final approval and once he gave her the “OK” it was time for a company name.

Since her name was Tee, and she was planning to sell T-shirts, she decided to begin with “Tee”. Then there’s her favorite color, which is purple, add that to her favorite drink, which is a martini – and that’s how she came up with “Tee’s Purple Martini Shop.” Because she also likes diamonds and things that dazzle, she also decided to use the sub-name “Tee Dazzle.”

Once she launched her website, she worked with her nieces, Kee, Ashley and Medana, to create some cool inscriptions for the T-shirts. They helped her name and design fitted T’s with bold displays of words like “Divalicious,” “Shoe Diva,” “Tees Purple Martini Shop” and “Teedazzle” in rhinestone studded scripts.

Tee’s favorite T-shirt is “Tee Dazzle” because it has lots of bling. Her favorite martini glass is Shopaholic, too by Lolita because it describes her personality to a Tee (Pardon the pun). She also loves the XYZ martini glass.

In her spare time, she works to improve the website and enjoys developing a relationship with her customers. She’s always looking for ideas because she loves to design and create new things.
