Posted in Lolita Glassware,Martini Glasses by Tee Thursday November 18, 2010

Lolita and Asta glasses are not for the meek, the mediocre, or the monotonous.  There’s just too much concentrated pizazz for the average.

No, these glasses are for the trendsetter – for those who want to make a statement; for those who want to set the bar high when it comes to hosting the most memorable social gatherings in town.

After all, anybody can invite some people over for drinks, but only the bold and fearless will do it in style. They understand the difference between pouring a drink and creating an experience.

It’s about the experience.

These martini glasses are for hosts who want their guest post to experience New YorkCleveland and Indianapolis -  even enjoy an out-of-this world experience with Neptune – all without ever leaving the room.

It’s about expression.

These are indeed, glasses with attitude – guests can have a drink with Carmen or Flora – or they can take it to the next level even pretend they are Carmen and Flora, for that matter.  Why not escape and be someone else for the night?

These glasses are not just a creative way to help your guests keep up with their drinks.  No, they are not your average drink holder.  Instead, they are classy, fun and bold works of art.

Let Lolita Take you Away to Cleveland

Cleveland-tini Rocks!

Lolita’s Cleveland-inspired martini glass brings this awesome city to you.  No airfare or bags required, just fill this glass and party your way to the Home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Fun Facts about Cleveland:

  • In 1879, Cleveland became the first city to be lighted by electricity.  Cleveland also had the first traffic light in 1914.
  • Cleveland is spelled differently than its founder’s name Moses Cleaveland.  In 1832, the editor of the Cleaveland Gazette  newspaper dropped the first “a” to fit the title on one line.  The new spelling caught on.  (http://www.thingstodo.com/states/OH/facts.htm)

If you’re ever in Cleveland, check out some of these Martini Bars:

Have a Martini with Carmen – Asta etched glasses

Posted in Martini Glasses by Tee Monday September 6, 2010

A sexy wink and a smile

Carmen wants to have a drink with you.  She told me to tell you that your next martini is on her.  So pull up a chair and take a sip.

The name Carmen means fruitful garden, or orchard – it’s no wonder she’s wearing mouth-watering fruit shaped earrings in this beautiful Asta Martini Glass.

How creative is that?

In addition to being inspired by tantalizing oranges, grapes and pears, this glass was probably also hinting at Bizet’s Opera – the passionate story of a beautiful girl who captured the hearts of two men who rivaled tragically over her.

It was probably this seductively hypnotic wink that got it all started. :)

You, too, can capture the hearts of your guests at your next social gathering, but you’d better be careful, you might find your mezmerized guests fighting over this beauty.

Everyone at your party will want to have a drink with this pretty lady.  Better keep their martini glasses filled.

Want to see this glass really come alive?

Try filling it with a strawberry or cherry red martini and watch it glow.

Mo Mo Panache Martini Glasses saved my party!

Posted in Martini Glasses,Mo Mo Panache Glassware by Tee Monday June 14, 2010

Party before Mo Mo Panache:

It’s a boring and lifeless, dreadful atmosphere.  Guests kept checking their watches. No one was talking or mingling – they seemed to be glued to their chairs. A few moments later I overheard a conversation – it excited that people were talking until I discovered that they are joking about a tooth extraction that was more fun that the party – they said, “at least there was laughing gas…”

If I didn’t do something, my friends were going to dog this party for years to come.

Party after Mo Mo Panache:

I broke out the Mo Mo Panache glassware – a different glass for each guest – no drink mixups at this party.  Suddenly, the atmosphere transformed and was filled with laughter and joyful chitchat.

I could barely walk through the crowd of Tango dancers without spilling drinks everywhere. There was not one guest without a huge smile on his or her face.  This time, I overheard a story about that time when some friends tried to steal a tank of laughing gas from the dentist’s office… everyone was laughing until their jaws hurt.

Months later, my friends are still talking about this martini party. They can’t wait for the next one. Next time, it’ll be even bigger than the last.

Mo Mo Panache glasses are so gorgeous, in addition to helping you serve your martini party guests, they’ll also add to the decor.

Cheers! Here’s the perfect gift for a perfect couple

Posted in Champagne Glasses,Lolita Glassware by Tee Wednesday May 12, 2010

My friend and her beau are finally getting ready to tie the knot. They’ve registered and scanned every item they could get their hands on – but I’m skipping all of those items. I’ll let everyone else purchase those boring items such as his & hers monogramed towels, comforters and sheet sets – they can have at it!

I want to give my friend a gift that she can enjoy on her wedding day (and night) and then display for years to come as a reminder of her beautiful day.

Towels and sheets will get tossed eventually, but this beautiful Asta Hawaiian Bridge and Groom Wedding Champagne Set will be around for years to come.

She and her husband will share their first toast together as husband and wife with these hand painted and etched champagne glasses. I can just picture her standing there in her beautiful dress (that I helped pick out by the way) holding up my gift for a toast that she will remember for the rest of her life.

Yes, I’ve found the perfect gift for the perfect couple. The search is over. Cheers!

Celebrate Courage: Lolita Pink Ribbon Collection

Posted in Champagne Glasses,Lolita Glassware,Martini Glasses,Wine Glasses by Tee Monday May 3, 2010

If you know anyone who has ever had to fight breast cancer, you know that keeping a positive attitude and staying in good spirits can make all the difference when it comes to recovery.

But keeping a good mood while going through chemo and radiation therapy can be quite difficult. Those treatments sap the body’s energy and often leaves you feeling very drained and blah afterwards.

I had a friend who was trying her best to stay strong, but I noticed she was getting depressed. I had to do something to cheer her up.

That’s when I found this set. I originally was only looking for a cool pink ribbon keepsake, something to let her know that I was thinking of her and that I cared. But I discovered an entire pink ribbon collection by Lolita and I had to have it.

When I arrived at her house with her gifts, I proudly wore this “Hope” T-shirt and also brought her one to match.

As she unpacked each Lolita item, the hand painted pink ribbon candle, the wine glass, the martini glass, and the champagne glass, her smile grew bigger and wider. She was so touched and couldn’t contain her tears of joy any longer.

But I had one more gift – her favorite ice cream.

She’s in full remisson now, but those pink ribbon items are still displayed in a special curio cabinet of everything that reminds her of her struggles. Since then she’s told me how low she was feeling that day. She said she’d felt like giving up, but when she saw how much I cared, it gave her hope and more strength to fight than she’d had before.

Every year we make a special toast to her recovery – using those special Lolita pink ribbon champagne glasses.

Do you have a friend with breast cancer that could use a little cheering up? Send her an item from the Lolita Pink Ribbon Collection.

How to throw the prettiest purple themed bachelorette party

Posted in Champagne Glasses,Wine Glasses by Tee Sunday April 18, 2010

So your best friend is getting married, and it’s on you to throw the bachelorette party, you want it to be unforgettable, so what will you do?

You want to surprise her with a memorable party, but you really don’t know what she wants to do. If she likes purple (which is the best color there is) here’s what you can do:

Throw a purple themed bachelorette party that will make your friend feel like queen. Don’t you know purple is the color of royalty? The options for decor and dress are endless.

You can stay in and have a home bachelorette party or you can go out for a night on the town – I’ll tell you what you’ll need to do both.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

For a girl’s night out on the town celebration you’ll need:

A limo – ask around to see if you can get a purple one, if not a white one will do.

Have everyone wear purple from head to toe, then top it off with these fun purple boas.

Give the bride a purple tiara.

Then toast with pretty purple champagne glasses

Tip: Call ahead to reserve the VIP section and make arrangements with the DJ to give a shot out to the bride-to-be.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

For a fantastic purple themed home bachelorette party you’ll need:

All of the above, minus the limo.

Decorate with cool purple lanterns.

Serve drinks in these cool glasses

Tip: Play this fun “Hot potato-like game”:
Get everyone in a circle.  Get an old granny-looking handbag and fill with an embarrassing item, such as a shower cap, some rollers, or some other tacky item.  Have your guests pass it around to music (encourage them to dance a bit and then pass it). Have them continue passing it around the circle until the music stops. The guest that gets stuck with the bag when the music stops must take the embarrassing item out and wear it for the rest of the bachelorette party.
